- 1 Tomato (cut into wedges)

- 2 tbsp Tamarind juice (from asam jawa paste)
- 1 stalk Serai (lemongrass) (bruised)
- 1 inch Fresh turmeric (kunyit) (or 1 tsp turmeric powder)
- 1 tbsp Chili paste (blend fresh red chilies)
- 1 Pandan leaf (tied into a knot) - pilihan
- 3 Shallots (sliced)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp Cooking oil (preferably canola or sunflower)
